Saunas & cold plunges in Ballito & Dolphin Coast

Ballito has grown faster than almost anywhere in the country, which means a lot of new estates, new hotels and new houses being finished right now — the cheapest moment to build a wet room.

Ballito & Dolphin Coast, South Africa

Build while the ground is open

Most of our Ballito work happens during construction. Drainage, an extract route and a cable run cost almost nothing in an open trench and a great deal afterwards. The cabin can follow a year later; the services cannot.

Estate rules and holiday phasing

Estates here restrict contractor hours and access, and the December holiday period effectively shuts the coast down for work. We schedule the heavy phases outside it and plan for the closure rather than being surprised by it.

Coastal specification, subtropical brief

Same as Umhlanga: A4 stainless, sealed enclosures, deeper cavities, humidistat extract, quarterly service with a corrosion check. The salt here does not negotiate.

Questions

Ballito & Dolphin Coast: what people ask

When should we build?

During construction if possible, and outside December otherwise.

Is the salt as bad as Cape Town's Atlantic side?

Comparable, with more humidity behind it, which makes ventilation the bigger of the two problems.
