In a Cape or Highveld winter, municipal water arrives cold and the nights are genuinely cold. A shaded, insulated, lidded tub sits in the low teens from May to September with nothing plugged in. We are the only market we work in where we regularly talk clients out of buying a compressor.
South Africa has now passed 475 days without load shedding, and a full unbroken year in May 2026, with roughly R26.9 billion saved on diesel (South African Government; Eskom). What remains is the densest installed base of inverters, batteries and solar on the continent — ideal for a chiller circuit and for scheduling a heater into your own generation.
