What the calculator does behind the band
Heater: the cabin's volume times 0.85 kW per cubic metre, times 1.15 if you picked Kenya — Nairobi sits near 1,795 m, where thin air carries less heat per kilowatt — plus about 0.42 kW for every square metre of glass. The total is rounded up to the next heater size that is actually made: 4.5, 6, 8, 9, 10.5 kW and on upwards.
Chiller: picked from the tub's volume in three steps — 1 HP up to roughly 260 litres, 2 HP up to roughly 570, 4 HP above that. On the Lagos lagoon, the Zanzibar coast or a Seychelles hillside that is the floor; on a shaded highland plot a real quote may step it down or drop it altogether.
Supply: anything over 8 kW shows as three-phase 400 V, below that a single-phase 230 V circuit can do. Where a house in Lagos, Abuja or Johannesburg lives on an inverter and a generator, the heater gets a scheduled circuit and the chiller is held off until the heat-up ends, so the changeover never sees both motors and elements starting at once.
