Read more →Beau Vallon is the busiest stretch of coast in the country — hotels, guesthouses and villas packed along one long north-west facing bay — and most of our work here is commercial.

A Beau Vallon property full through the European winter cannot lose rooms to a building site. We phase by room behind screens, agree noise windows in writing before starting, and work the shoulder months where the calendar allows.
Where a hotel wants a suite open by high season we work backwards from that date including shipping, rather than forwards from the deposit.
This bay faces the north-west monsoon directly. Between roughly December and March the wind and swell come straight in, which affects where plant can sit and how a deck is fixed down. We site enclosures out of the direct salt spray and fix everything for uplift rather than for gravity alone.
A spa full in January cannot close because a generator scaled. Critical items duplicated, isolation on each room, and a spares kit with part numbers on the property. Mahé is the easiest place in the country to get a part and it is still two days at best.
Phased by room behind screens, yes. Shoulder months are faster and cheaper.
Two per eight sauna seats at the evening peak, which here is the ninety minutes after sunset.
