Cooler evenings sell the sauna

Up here the evening drops far enough that a sauna is a pleasure rather than an indulgence, and the season for it is longer than on the coast. It is the part of Mauritius where we sell the most cabins per plunge.

Wet rather than salty

Rainfall on the plateau is high, so the specification shifts from corrosion to water management: deeper drained cavities, ventilated voids under cabins, and extract that copes with genuinely damp air.

Without salt in the air, fixings can be A2 rather than A4 and plant enclosures do not need sealing, which takes real cost out.

Cyclone still applies

Inland does not mean safe. Anchorage is still designed, though the exposure case is lighter than on the east coast and the details are correspondingly simpler.
