Belle Mare is the east coast's resort strip, and the east is where the island's weather arrives first.
The narrow building window
High season and cyclone season overlap here, which leaves a genuinely narrow window for heavy work. We plan the programme around it rather than discovering it, and phase anything that must happen outside it behind screens.
Exposed east coast specification
Engineer-signed anchorage, deeper drained cavities, A4 stainless throughout, sealed plant enclosures, and a corrosion inspection at every quarterly visit. The east takes the wind and the salt together.
Long lagoon, long views
The lagoon here is wide and shallow and the view is the product. We orient glass at it and shelter the plunge from the trade wind behind the building line, which is usually the opposite of the client's first instinct.
