Custom saunas in Lagos and Abuja, wired to your inverter

Our Ikoyi villa sauna, 2025

In 2025 we built a private villa sauna in Ikoyi. Our Istanbul factory designed, made and dry-assembled it, checked it there, and sent it to Lagos as one complete kit, which our own crew then installed.

Three details made it work in Lagos. Fresh air for the cabin is taken from inside the air-conditioned villa, not from the humid garden, so it remains a genuinely dry sauna. The timber is kiln-dried and low in resin, so it does not weep or move in the heat. Behind the lining sit insulation, a vapour barrier with every joint taped, and a ventilated gap, so moisture never reaches the walls. The heater has its own dedicated circuit, and the supply was checked for stability before the heater was sized.

A heater is a load on your power system

Almost every house we quote for runs grid, inverter and batteries, and a generator behind them. A sauna heater is one of the largest single loads that system will ever see, so we start from your inverter rating, battery bank, solar array and generator size, then place the heater on its own circuit, schedule its warm-up into sunny hours where there is solar, and lock it out of starting at the same moment as a chiller.

The grid supplies 230 volts on a single phase and 400 between three; heaters bigger than about 9 kW need the three-phase supply, and the board work and cable are priced separately.

Lagoon humidity, harmattan dust

By the Lagos lagoon and in the delta: A4 stainless fixings, factory-sealed end grain, a ventilated gap beneath the cabin and a drained cavity behind it. In Abuja and the north the threat from December to February is harmattan dust, so plant gets washable pre-filters and a sealed housing.

Indicative sauna prices in Nigeria

Naira bands are indicative and move with the exchange rate; contracts are in USD or EUR. Crates are cleared through one of the Lagos ports — Apapa, Tin Can Island or the Lekki Deep Sea Port. Manufacturing takes six to ten weeks per cabin once the drawing is signed, and then the crates sail. Send a photo of the space, its dimensions and your inverter rating, and a project manager will reply within one business day with photos of the Ikoyi cabin and a first budget.
