A different room, not a cheaper sauna

Infrared panels warm your body directly rather than heating the air: the cabin sits at 45–60 °C, draws 1.5–2.5 kW from a normal socket and is ready in twelve to fifteen minutes. There are no stones and no ladle of water, and we will not pretend it feels like a Finnish sauna.

What it offers in Africa is practical. A 5 kVA inverter carries it without a second thought; there is no drain, no supply upgrade and no body-corporate submission; and nothing is attached to a building that may not be yours. Where it fits

The end of a bedroom, a wide landing, a converted store or a covered balcony with a protected outlet — but never one exposed to sea or lagoon air, and never a room that stays shut for months.

Humidity and empty months

The electronics tolerate heat well and stale damp badly. On a seasonal coastal property a cabin shut in an unventilated room for the wet months is a real risk, so we choose a ventilated spot, supply a cover for houses that stand empty and add the cabin to the closing-up routine where there is one.

Price, and what arrives

Indicatively USD 2,000–3,400 for a two-person cabin, supplied and installed; each country page carries the same band in local currency. It arrives as factory-checked panels with the carbon heaters, controls and wiring loom already fitted, and goes together in an afternoon.

Before quoting we ask about one thing: the socket. A dedicated circuit is best, and where the house runs on an inverter we make sure that circuit sits on the side the changeover feeds. The cabin carries the same 24-month warranty as everything else we install.
