Saunas & cold plunges in Lekki

Lekki is where most of Lagos's new housing is, which means newer buildings, newer inverters, smaller plots and a lot of tenants rather than owners.

Lekki, Nigeria

Infrared is the commonest answer here

For an apartment or a rented house, an infrared cabin solves every constraint at once: 1.5 to 2.5 kW from an ordinary socket, a load any inverter carries, no drain, no supply upgrade, nothing fixed to the structure and assembly in an afternoon.

It is the single most-installed thing we do in this corridor, and for a tenant it is the only honest recommendation.

New estates, modest systems

New-build houses here often come with an inverter sized for lights, fans and a fridge rather than for a 9 kW heater. We read the actual specification rather than assuming, and where the system will not carry a traditional sauna we say so and offer the alternatives.

Where a house has been upgraded — and many owners here have added solar since 2025 — a compact traditional cabin on a scheduled circuit is entirely achievable.

Space, and the honest scale

Plots in the newer estates are compact. A two to four person cabin, a compact plunge and a rinse point occupy about 8 to 10 m² and get used constantly. A large installation squeezed into a corner does not, and we will talk you out of it.

Questions

Lekki: what people ask

I rent. What can I have?

An infrared cabin, and it moves when you do. A fixed cabin needs the landlord's agreement.

Will my estate inverter run a sauna?

Often not as supplied. We read the specification and tell you honestly rather than guessing.
