Saunas & cold plunges in Gwarinpa

Gwarinpa is one of the largest estates in West Africa and it is where most of our Abuja domestic work happens: family houses, compact plots and real budgets.

Gwarinpa, Nigeria

Honest scale for a family house

A two to four person cabin, an insulated plunge and a rinse point in about 8 to 10 m² is the installation that actually gets used every week. We would rather build that properly than an ambitious suite that strains the supply and the budget.

Because these are family houses rather than showpieces, we spend more time on running costs than on finishes, and we give you both numbers — per session and per month — before anything is ordered.

Working with a modest inverter

Many houses here have a system sized for essentials. A 6 kW heater on a well-insulated compact cabin, scheduled rather than run on demand, is frequently achievable where a 9 kW one is not.

Where the honest answer is that the system will not carry it, we say so and offer an infrared cabin instead. That conversation loses us a sale occasionally and it has never lost us a client.

Harmattan, again

Same dust package as the rest of Abuja: washable pre-filters, sealed plant housing, and a filter change built into the household routine through the dry months.

Questions

Gwarinpa: what people ask

What is a realistic budget for a family house?

A compact cabin with an insulated plunge sits in the lower bands on our price page, and we show the running cost with it.

Can a small inverter carry a sauna?

Sometimes, on a scheduled circuit with a 6 kW heater. We read your specification before saying yes.
