The plunge, the bench and the entrance all go on the lee side, behind a wall or a screen. An exposed deck here is unusable most afternoons regardless of how good the equipment is.

Kite and surf properties

Much of the demand is from kite properties whose guests are outdoors all day in that wind. They want heat, shelter and somewhere to sit out of it — which is a different brief from a beach resort.
