Divers want the sauna, not the ice

This is the one place on our list where we regularly build the cabin and skip the plunge. After three dives nobody needs cold water; they need to get warm and dry out. A compact cabin near the dive shop, running late afternoon, is used more than anything else we could put there.

Where a plunge does go in, it is for the non-diving guests and it sits on the accommodation side, not the dive side.

Small, off-grid, robust

Lodges here are small and mostly solar-powered. A 4.5 to 6 kW heater on a well-insulated compact cabin within the solar window is entirely achievable; a large cabin and a chiller together generally are not, and we will say so before quoting rather than after.

Salt, sand and a light supply chain

Full marine specification, everything consolidated into a single shipment from Mikocheni, and a deliberately light parts list so that the whole installation can be kept alive from one spares box.
