Everything at this level is made for the property: joinery detailed to the lodge's own language, a granite basin carved from local stone, brass rather than plated fittings, and no visible equipment anywhere a guest can see.

It takes longer and costs more, and the reason it is worth it is that it cannot be bought anywhere else.

Redundancy is non-negotiable

Duplicated plant on every critical item, isolation valves so one room can be taken out without closing the suite, and a spares kit on the island covering every failure mode we have ever seen. A suite that fails with a villa occupied is not a maintenance issue at this level; it is a refund.

Handover as a document

A full operating manual, a water regime, a service schedule, a named contact and two days of training, followed by a six-month return visit. Lodges at this level have procurement teams and auditors, and we write for them as well as for the person who will actually push the buttons.
