Saunas & cold plunges in Ibadan

Ibadan is close enough to Lagos for a straightforward delivery and far enough inland that the climate is drier and the plots are bigger.

Ibadan, Nigeria

Space, and what to do with it

Plots here are generous by Lagos standards, which means a full arrangement — cabin, plunge, rinse and a shaded bench — is comfortable rather than squeezed. Costs per square metre are lower too, so more of the budget goes into specification rather than into fitting things around each other.

Inland, not coastal

Away from the lagoon the salt problem largely disappears, so fixings and enclosures step down a grade and the service interval lengthens. Humidity is still high in the wet season, so ventilation and drained cavities stay, but the corrosion inspection becomes an annual rather than a quarterly item.

Delivery from Lagos

Everything is made in Ikeja and comes up in a consolidated load. Site visits and service calls are scheduled in blocks so several Ibadan properties share the travel in the same week, which keeps the surcharge modest and predictable.

Questions

Ibadan: what people ask

Is it cheaper to build here than in Lagos?

Usually, because space is easier and the coastal specification steps down a grade.

How often will you visit for service?

Half-yearly inland, scheduled in blocks with other properties in the same week.
