Two kinds of plot on one road

Below the road, plots are small, flat and directly on the water: the constraint is space and salt, and the answer is usually a compact cabin, an insulated tub and a very careful plant position.

Above the road, plots are steep with long flights of steps: the constraint is the carry, and the answer is smaller panels, a pinned granite plinth and a drainage design. We quote the two completely differently.

The road itself is a constraint

The coast road here is narrow with limited turning and almost no parking. Deliveries are scheduled outside peak hours, unloaded quickly into a staging point, and carried from there. We agree that plan with you before the lorry books, because a delivery that blocks this road for an hour is a genuinely bad start with your neighbours.

Direct exposure below the road

Waterside plots here get spray in the monsoon months. Full marine specification, plant raised and enclosed with filtered intakes, and quarterly service with a corrosion inspection. A cabin built here to an inland standard looks tired inside two seasons.
