Watamu and Malindi are holiday-home coast: villas used for a few weeks a year, rented the rest, and standing closed in between.
Designed to be left alone
A suite that stands empty needs a humidistat extract that runs unattended, a written shutdown and restart routine, and a caretaker checklist in plain language.
We fit remote temperature and leak alarms where owners want them, which on a coastal property two hours from the nearest technician is worth far more than it costs.
Rental use
When guests use it, controls have to be obvious and unbreakable, finishes have to take daily cleaning, and the managing agent needs a routine they can actually follow. We write the manual for the agent rather than for an engineer.
Full coastal specification
Same as Diani: A4 stainless, sealed enclosures, deeper cavities, humidistat extract, quarterly service with a corrosion inspection. The salt here does not negotiate either.
