Mombasa is where our imported equipment lands, which makes it the fastest part of Kenya to build in and the hardest climate to build for.
The port advantage
Everything imported arrives here and then travels inland. For a Mombasa project that means no road leg at all, and a failed element is a day away rather than a week.
It also means we can hold less stock and still respond quickly on the coast, which is part of why our coastal service intervals are realistic rather than aspirational.
Humid, hot, salty
The full coastal specification: A4 stainless, sealed plant enclosures, deeper cavities, humidistat extract on every enclosed room, quarterly service with a corrosion inspection.
Old town properties add an access problem on top — narrow lanes, hand carry, panels sized to the tightest turn.
Hotels and apartments
Most of the commercial work here is hotel refurbishment and apartment blocks. Shared water needs circulation, filtration and ozone, and in this climate that is a requirement rather than an upgrade.
